The amount of time people spend on average travelling is 1.1 hours a day, with the world's worst traffic jam occurs during the summer on the road from Paris to Toulouse, France. The 2000 record of 604km was well beaten in 2001 when holiday makers jammed up for 661km. Reminded me about the importance of enjoying the journey.
John Cameron from Arise Church in Wellington in NZ, used to get caught in traffic jams frequently (too many sheep crossing's I suppose.) So John always travelled with a notebook filled with his favourite scripture and would use the time to memorise the Word of God. What a great idea! The best way for me to enjoy the journey and not get caught up with the pressures and stresses of life is to fellowship with God.
If you were sitting in the car with the hottest girl/guy you've ever met and were having an awesome conversation, you wouldn't really care about the traffic. Actually you would probably thank God for the extra time! She's trapped! I've got her! Seriously though, if it is then more about who I am with then what I am doing, it makes sense to include God in every aspect of my life.
No one loves me like God loves me.
